ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,497,419, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Universal Display Corp. (Ewing, N.J.).
"Organic electroluminescent materials and devices" was invented by Zhiqiang Ji (Chalfont, Pa.) and Pierre-Luc T. Boudreault (Pennington, N.J.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A compound comprising a metal M and a ligand LA, where LA includes a structure of Formula I,is disclosed. In Formula I, each of L1 and L2 is a direct bond of a linking group; each of X1 to X16 is C or N; each of R, R', RA, RB, RC, and RD is independently hydrogen or a General Substituent. OLEDs, consumer products, and formulations including the compound are also disclosed."
