ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,528,116, issued on Jan. 20, was assigned to UNITIKA Ltd. (Osaka, Japan).

"Nickel nanowire and method for producing the same" was invented by Hirotaka Takeda (Uji, Japan) and Chikako Yamada (Uji, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides a nickel nanowire, which is resistant to break by stress.
