ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,504,322, issued on Dec. 23, was assigned to United States of America, Dept. of the Navy (Washington).

"Removable photo diode case" was invented by Samuel A. Semakula (Bowie, Md.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A safety apparatus that includes a case, a diode sensor secured within the case, and a fastener for removably securing the case to a laser safety clipper ring."
