ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,674,433, issued on July 7, was assigned to TOYOTA JIDOSHA K.K. (Toyota, Japan).
"Internal combustion engine" was invented by Hiroaki Adachi (Kanagawa-ken, Japan), Shunsuke Fushiki (Susono, Japan) and Tadashi Okuda (Hadano, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The internal combustion engine includes a cylinder block. The cylinder block includes a cylinder liner having an outer peripheral surface, an opposing wall opposed to the outer peripheral surface, a water jacket defined by the outer peripheral surface and the opposing wall, and a heater accommodated in the water jacket in contact with the outer peripheral surface."
