US Patent Issued to TOYOTA JIDOSHA on July 7 for "Engine" (Japanese Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,674,405, issued on July 7, was assigned to TOYOTA JIDOSHA K.K. (Toyota, Japan).

"Engine" was invented by Naoko Kai (Okazaki, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In an engine that ventilates a crankcase by introducing air from an opening through a one-way valve, a shielding plate is set proximate to the opening inside the crankcase. The shielding plate includes a dividing wall located upward from a liquid surface of engine oil and downward from the opening."
