US Patent Issued to Tivic Health Systems on Feb. 10 for "Method for using a sinus treatment device" (California, Washington Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,544,570, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to Tivic Health Systems Inc. (Fremont, Calif.).

"Method for using a sinus treatment device" was invented by John Claude (Redwood City, Calif.), Christopher A. Wiklof (Everett, Wash.) and Blake Gurfein (Oakland, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method of using a sinus treatment device includes holding a treatment electrode against facial skin at a treatment location associated with reduction of sinus discomfort and/or congestion. The sinus treatment device may automatically detect a treatment location. In another embodiment, the sinus treatment device may be triggered by the user."
