US Patent Issued to Titan Spine on June 16 for "Modular adjustable corpectomy cage" (Wisconsin Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,653,696, issued on June 16, was assigned to Titan Spine LLC (Mequon, Wis.).

"Modular adjustable corpectomy cage" was invented by Peter F. Ullrich Jr. (Neenah, Wis.), Eric Kennedy (Wauwatosa, Wis.) and Charles J. Turner (Milwaukee).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system for use during surgical procedures. The system includes an implant and a tool. The implant combines a modular adjustable cage and a shim that locks the cage into position, after the cage has been adjusted to its final position and at its final height, in situ.
