ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,643,816, issued on June 2, was assigned to thyssenkrupp Polysius GmbH (Beckum, Germany), VICAT SA (L'Isle d'Abeau, France) and DYCKERHOFF GMBH (Wiesbaden, Germany).
"Method and device for the production of cement clinker" was invented by Thomas Lappe (Bergkamen, Germany) and Eike Willms (Dortmund, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A process for producing cement clinker may involve preheating raw meal in a preheater, calcining the preheated raw meal in a calciner, burning the preheated and calcined raw meal in a furnace to give cement clinker, cooling the cement clinker in a cooler, branching off a portion of the furnace offgases flow...
