ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,496,340, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to THE UNIVERSITY OF MONTANA (Missoula, Mont.).
"Vaccine adjuvants based on TLR receptor ligands" was invented by Helene Bazin-Lee (Stevensville, Mont.), David Burkhart (Missoula, Mont.) and Jay Evans (Corvallis, Mont.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Lipidated oxoadenines of formula (I) are TLR7/8 receptor ligands useful for modulating immune responses. The compounds may have therapeutic application in the treatment of cancer, infectious diseases, allergy, or autoimmnune disorders."
