ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,529,997, issued on Jan. 20, was assigned to The Swatch Group Research and Development Ltd (Marin, Switzerland).

"Functional mechanical part" was invented by Christophe Vincent (Montperreux, France) and Adrien Cornille (Villars-le-Grand, Switzerland).
