US Patent Issued to The Regents of the University of California on Sept. 22 for "Modulation of Wnt5a to treat glaucoma" (California Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,741,996, issued on Sept. 22, was assigned to The Regents of the University of California (Oakland, Calif.).

"Modulation of Wnt5a to treat glaucoma" was invented by Lu Chen (Berkeley, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Glaucoma or pathogenic intraocular pressure is treated by locally administering to an eye in need thereof formulations of a Wnt5a inhibitor."
