ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,700,681, issued on Aug. 4, was assigned to The Boeing Co. (Arlington, Va.).

"Accelerated satellite acquisition scheme" was invented by Ying J. Feria (Manhattan Beach, Calif.), David Whelan (Newport Coast, Calif.) and Parthasarathy Ramanujam (Redondo Beach, Calif.).
