"Calculating cell-type RNA profiles for diagnosis and treatment" was invented by Mathew Barber (Chicago).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods for determining a cancer composition of a subject are provided that include generating machine-learning models configured to identify cell types based on respective cell-type RNA expression profiles, and using the models to determine the cancer composition of the subject."

The patent was filed on Oct. 20, 2020, under Application No. 17/074,984.
