US Patent Issued to TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET LM ERICSSON on Aug. 11 for "Comfort noise generation" (Swedish Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,706,103, issued on Aug. 11, was assigned to TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET LM ERICSSON (PUBL) (Stockholm).

"Comfort noise generation" was invented by Anders K. Eriksson (Uppsala, Sweden).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Apparatuses, arrangements and methods therein for generation of comfort noise are disclosed. In short, the solution relates to exploiting the spatial coherence of multiple input audio channels in order to generate high quality multi channel comfort noise."

The patent was filed on Oct. 9, 2023, under Application No. 18/378,063.
