ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,601,439, issued on April 14, was assigned to TECO S.R.L. (Trani, Italy).

"Fitting with ring nut for fixing a branch pipe of an irrigation system" was invented by Cosimo Iacopetta (Bisceglie, Italy).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An internally hollow fitting for the passage of a liquid, in particular water, with a component to restrain unmovably a pipe of an irrigation system, wherein the restraining component of the pipe is carried by a ring nut screwing on an external thread of the at least one end of the fitting."

The patent was filed on May 24, 2021, under Application No. 17/328,188.
