ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,731,705, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to TDK Corp. (Tokyo).

"Transient voltage protection device" was invented by Shunsuke Takahashi (Tokyo), Masato Hayatsu (Tokyo), Sota Hiraba (Tokyo) and Naoyoshi Yoshida (Tokyo).

The pair of internal electrodes are disposed in the element body and include edges. The edges include parts opposing each other in a first direction in the cavity.
