US Patent Issued to TDK on June 2 for "Light detection element" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,645,108, issued on June 2, was assigned to TDK Corp. (Tokyo).

"Light detection element" was invented by Tomohito Mizuno (Tokyo), Hideaki Fukuzawa (Tokyo) and Tetsuya Shibata (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The light detection element includes a light-sensitive layer configured to generate a voltage when light is applied, a first electrode, and a second electrode. The light-sensitive layer is located between the first electrode and the second electrode. The second electrode is a metal containing at least one element selected from the group consisting of ruthenium, molybdenum, and tungsten."
