US Patent Issued to TDK on July 7 for "R-T-B based permanent magnet" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,676,255, issued on July 7, was assigned to TDK Corp. (Tokyo).

"R-T-B based permanent magnet" was invented by Atsushi Koda (Tokyo), Takahiro Suwa (Tokyo) and Hikaru Kudo (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An R-T-B permanent magnet that contains: main-phase grains composed of an R2T14B compound (where R is a rare earth element, T is a transition metal element, and B is boron); and grain boundaries.
