ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,277,448, issued on April 15, was assigned to Tangoe US Inc. (Indianapolis).

"Cloud application threshold based throttling" was invented by Paolo Sellari (Shelton, Conn.) and Jaan Leemet (Aventura, Fla.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Systems and methods are provided for intercepting computing requests and modifying the execution timing thereof based on thresholds and minimum performance criteria and/or adjusting hosted services plans in order to monitor and control costs of hosting software applications on hosted provider computing resources."

The patent was filed on Jan. 10, 2022, under Application No. 17/572,343.
