ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,591,429, issued on March 31, was assigned to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (Hsinchu, Taiwan).
"Memory interface" was invented by Hiroki Noguchi (Hsinchu, Taiwan) and Yih Wang (Hsinchu, Taiwan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A memory interface circuit includes an instruction decoder configured to receive an instruction from a processor to generate a corresponding control code. An execution circuit is configured to receive the control code from the instruction decoder and access a memory and generate an arithmetic result according to the control code."
