ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 5 -- United States Patent no. PP37,408, issued on May 5, was assigned to Syngenta Crop Protection AG (Basel, Switzerland).

"Chrysanthemum plant named 'CIFZ0113'" was invented by Mark A. Smith (Alva, Fla.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new garden type Chrysanthemum plant named 'CIFZ0113', particularly distinguished by its medium to small size plant with round plant habit, a medium to small size decorative flower with bronze orange two tone flower color and a natural season response in mid-September."

The patent was filed on Jan. 29, 2025, under Application No. 18/831,461.
