ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,672,948, issued on July 7, was assigned to SURGICAL FUSION TECHNOLOGIES GMBH (Schlieren, Switzerland).
"Implant case" was invented by Michele Vanoni (Zurich, Switzerland), Andrea Muller (Winterthur, Switzerland) and Manuel Kallen (Austrasse, Switzerland).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A device having a housing with specifically arranged openings for storing an implant, a kit of parts comprising the device as well as corresponding methods of assembly and implantation."
