ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,552,719, issued on Feb. 17, was assigned to SUMITOMO ELECTRIC HARDMETAL CORP. (Hyogo, Japan) and Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd. (Osaka, Japan).
"Cubic boron nitride sintered material" was invented by Hironari Moroguchi (Hyogo, Japan), Yuki Tsutsumiuchi (Hyogo, Japan), Michiko Matsukawa (Hyogo, Japan), Akihiko Ueda (Hyogo, Japan) and Satoru Kukino (Osaka, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A cubic boron nitride sintered material comprising cubic boron nitride grains and a binder, in which a content of the cubic boron nitride grains is no less than 30% by volume and no more than 80% by volume, the binder includes at least one selected...
