ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,594,305, issued on April 7, was assigned to Strominnate Therapeutics AB (Lund, Sweden).

"Bone marrow microglia progenitor cells and uses thereof" was invented by Tania Ramos Moreno (Lund, Sweden).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure concerns a microglia progenitor cell derived from bone marrow and/or placental stromal cells and/or umbilical cord stromal cell and methods for their isolation; as well as use of said cells for therapy of disorders of the CNS."

The patent was filed on June 4, 2020, under Application No. 17/615,679.
