ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- United States Patent no. 12,681,890, issued on July 14, was assigned to STMicroeletronics (Grenoble 2) SAS (Grenoble, France).

"Data transmission on I2C bus" was invented by Rene Peyrard (Voiron, France).
