US Patent Issued to STIGA Sports on July 21 for "Table tennis racket" (Swedish Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,685,911, issued on July 21, was assigned to STIGA Sports AB (Eskilstuna, Sweden).

"Table tennis racket" was invented by Carl Filip Wirstrom (Eskilstuna, Sweden) and Jorgen Lindstrom Jensen (Stockholm).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A table tennis racket 1 characterized in that the circumference of the blade 3 comprises a plurality of straight portions 9a-g, and in that the handle 2 is aligned with a central longitudinal axis 8 of the racket 1."

The patent was filed on Oct. 4, 2022, under Application No. 18/697,261.
