ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,552,132, issued on Feb. 17, was assigned to STF Technologies LLC (Newark, Del.).

"Impact-resistant, damage tolerant composites with shear thickening fluid layers and uses thereof" was invented by Norman J. Wagner (Newark, Del.) and Richard Dombrowski (Lutherville, Md.).
