ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,539,501, issued on Feb. 3, was assigned to Stamicarbon B.V. (Sittard, Netherlands).

"Ammonium nitrate reactor with static mixer" was invented by Rahul Patil (Maastricht, Netherlands), Lambertus Wilhelmus Gevers (Merkelbeek, Netherlands), Solomon Assefa Wassie (Eindhoven, Netherlands) and Michail Tsopozidis (Maastricht, Netherlands).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosure pertains to an ammonium nitrate reactor with a first type static mixer in the mixing zone upstream of the tube bundle and/or a second type static mixer downstream of the tube bundle."
