ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,707,215, issued on Aug. 11, was assigned to ST Portfolio Holdings LLC (Delray Beach, Fla.).
"Acoustic sealing analysis system" was invented by John Usher (Devon, Great Britain) and John P. Keady (Fairfax Station, Va.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A device to test the seal quality of an earpiece. Audio processing circuitry produces an audio signal for driving a speaker. Output from the microphone while the speaker is being driven by the audio signal is used to determine the seal. The device or method further includes control circuitry to evaluate a seal quality of the device. Other embodiments are disclosed."
