US Patent Issued to Spectrum Brands on June 16 for "Aquarium system, back panel assembly, and methods of use" (Wisconsin Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,653,167, issued on June 16, was assigned to Spectrum Brands Inc. (Middleton, Wis.).

"Aquarium system, back panel assembly, and methods of use" was invented by William Nathan Brunner (Middleton, Wis.), Gregory Van Eyk (Middleton, Wis.), Kevin Sears (Middleton, Wis.) and Terry Allen Willemin (Middleton, Wis.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A back panel assembly for an aquarium has a housing with a dependent lip having connecting structure permitting the housing to be removably attached to an aquarium; and a cartridge holder removably positioned in the housing. The cartridge holder holds filter cartridges, each cartridge being the same size....
