US Patent Issued to Souffle Therapeutics on Nov. 3 for "Oligonucleotide-mediated knockdown of DUX4" (Massachusetts Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,781,225, issued on Nov. 3, was assigned to Souffle Therapeutics Inc. (Watertown, Mass.).

"Oligonucleotide-mediated knockdown of DUX4" was invented by Roman Bogorad (Newton, Mass.), Timofey Zatsepin (Brookline, Mass.) and Vadim Dudkin (Wellesley, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein are oligonucleotides for inhibiting the expression of Double Homeobox 4 (DUX4) and methods of using the oligonucleotides for reducing DUX4 expression in a subject."

The patent was filed on Dec. 5, 2025, under Application No. 19/410,976.
