ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,732,197, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corp. (Kanagawa, Japan).

"All digital phase-locked loop circuit" was invented by Keigo Bunsen (Kanagawa, Japan), Masahisa Tamura (Kanagawa, Japan), Tuan Van Pham (Kanagawa, Japan) and Naoki Yoshimi (Kanagawa, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "All digital phase-locked loop circuits are disclosed. In one example, an all digital phase-locked loop circuit includes a first time-to-digital converter that performs phase difference detection at a first resolution, and a second time-to-digital converter that performs phase difference detection at a second resolution finer...
