ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,689,865, issued on July 21, was assigned to Sonos Inc. (Goleta, Calif.).

"Room-informed binaural rendering" was invented by Adib Mehrabi (London), Orchisama Das (London), Christopher Pike (Manchester, Great Britain), Patrick Kevin McPherson (Somerville, Mass.) and Franck Zagala (London).
