ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,654,413, issued on June 16, was assigned to Snap-on Inc. (Kenosha, Wis.).

"Machine press adaptor" was invented by Allen M. Hutchison (Kenosha, Wis.) and William J. Powell (Kenosha, Wis.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An adaptor for a press. The adaptor includes a body adapted to removably couple to the press cylinder or carriage of the press and an extension shaft having first and second opposing ends. The first end is removably coupled to the body, and the second end is adapted to couple to a drive adaptor."

The patent was filed on July 12, 2021, under Application No. 17/373,026.
