ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,298,987, issued on May 13, was assigned to Snap Inc. (Santa Monica, Calif.).

"Surfacing augmented reality objects" was invented by Jennica Pounds (Cape Coral, Fla.), Qi Pan (London), Brent Michael Barkman (Los Angeles) and Ozi Egri (Yassur, Israel).
