ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,654,234, issued on June 16, was assigned to SMC Corp. (Tokyo).
"Chuck apparatus" was invented by Tsuyoshi Sasaki (Tsukubamirai, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A chuck apparatus includes a pair of grip members driven by a piston via a pair of levers, and the levers are rotatably supported by a body via lever shafts. A lever shaft protrudes from the attachment surface of the body to the transport device, and positioning with respect to the transport device is performed by using the protruding portion."
The patent was filed on Jan. 20, 2022, under Application No. 17/579,658.
