US Patent Issued to Skyworks Solutions on March 31 for "Acoustic wave device with transverse spurious mode suppression" (California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,592,678, issued on March 31, was assigned to Skyworks Solutions Inc. (Irvine, Calif.).

"Acoustic wave device with transverse spurious mode suppression" was invented by Yuhao Liu (Los Angeles), Jiansong Liu (Fremont, Calif.) and Chun Sing Lam (San Jose, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An acoustic wave device with a bent section is disclosed. The acoustic wave device includes a piezoelectric layer and an interdigital transducer electrode on the piezoelectric layer. The bent section is arranged to create a curvature in a waveguide of the acoustic wave device to suppress a transverse spurious mode of the acoustic wave device."
