ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,442,729, issued on Oct. 14, was assigned to Singular Genomics Systems Inc. (San Diego).

"Devices useful for sample manipulation" was invented by Sandor Kovacs (Middletown, Del.), Yuji Ishitsuka (San Diego), Kevin Marshall (San Diego) and Jaekyung Koh (San Diego).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein, inter alia, are devices and methods for efficient transfer and analyses of cellular material, tissue samples, such as tissue sections."

The patent was filed on Nov. 7, 2024, under Application No. 18/940,271.
