US Patent Issued to Sila Nanotechnologies, Gerogia Tech Research on Jan. 27 for "Electrodes, lithium-ion batteries, and methods of making and using same" (Georgia, New York Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,537,190, issued on Jan. 27, was assigned to Sila Nanotechnologies Inc. (Alameda, Calif.) and Gerogia Tech Research Corp. (Atlanta).

"Electrodes, lithium-ion batteries, and methods of making and using same" was invented by Gleb Yushin (Atlanta), Oleksandr Magazynskyy (Atlanta), Patrick Dixon (Dunwoody, Ga.) and Benjamin Hertzberg (New York).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are improved composite anodes and lithium-ion batteries made therefrom. Further described are methods of making and using the improved anodes and batteries. In general, the anodes include a porous composite having a plurality of agglomerated nanocomposites...
