ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,686,570, issued on July 21, was assigned to Signode Industrial Group LLC (Tampa, Fla.).

"Load-centering apparatus including a torque-absorbing coupler" was invented by Carsten Fenn (Sonderborg, Denmark).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A load-centering apparatus including a torque-absorbing coupler that minimizes the likelihood that the load-centering apparatus will damage a load of goods after centering the load of goods on a conveyor."
