ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,552,226, issued on Feb. 17, was assigned to Siemens Mobility GmbH (Munich).

"Method for determining a fresh air volume flow in a vehicle for transporting people, and device for carrying out the method" was invented by Gerhard Reiss (Krefeld, Germany) and Alexander Hildebrandt (Bochum, Germany).

A water vapor mass flow is introduced into, or generated in, a passenger compartment of the vehicle. The air humidity in the passenger compartment of the vehicle is measured and, once a quasi-stationary air humidity has been reached...
