ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,730,098, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc. (Tarrytown, N.Y.).

"Calibration fluid comprising pyrogallol for the calibration of blood gas, electrolyte, and/or metabolite instrument oxygen sensor(s)" was invented by Kevin Horan (Raynham, Mass.) and Murli Narayan (Norfolk, Mass.).
