ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,605,385, issued on April 21, was assigned to SHORLA PHARMA LTD (Co. Tipperary, Ireland).
"Methotrexate formulation" was invented by Michael Frodsham (Flintshire, Great Britain) and Julie-Ann Penton (Greater London, Great Britain).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A liquid pharmaceutical composition comprises methotrexate free acid and a buffer, wherein the pH of the composition is in the range of 6.5 to 8.2. Processes for preparation of the liquid pharmaceutical composition are also described. The liquid pharmaceutical composition is useful in therapy."
The patent was filed on Sept. 28, 2023, under Application No. 18/374,215.
