US Patent Issued to Sheltered Wings on Sept. 8 for "Viewing optic with a solar panel" (Wisconsin Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,730,298, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to Sheltered Wings Inc. (Barneveld, Wis.).

"Viewing optic with a solar panel" was invented by Rob Morell (Barneveld, Wis.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A viewing optic has a housing having a front side containing an optical element, a rear side containing a rear cover, a left side, a right side, and top side. A solar panel control assembly with at least one solar panel is positioned on the top side. The viewing optic may be a miniature red dot sight, such as a closed red dot sight."

The patent was filed on Aug. 7, 2023, under Application No. 18/366,260.
