US Patent Issued to Sharp Step on July 7 for "Skate blade protectors" (New York Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,673,252, issued on July 7, was assigned to Sharp Step Inc. (Hamburg, N.Y.).

"Skate blade protectors" was invented by Donovan Scott (Hamburg, N.Y.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A skate blade protector may include an outer shell, an inner shell configured to receive a skate blade of a skate, a magnet disposed therebetween, and a sharpening agent disposed on the inner shell such that when the inner shell receives the skate blade, the sharpening agent contacts the skate blade."

The patent was filed on Dec. 5, 2025, under Application No. 19/410,159.
