ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,655,699, issued on June 16, was assigned to Shale Oil Tools LLC (Rosenberg, Texas).

"Dissolvable lock" was invented by Brian Kennedy (Sugar Land, Texas).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The current invention describes a plug that may be run into a well for example an electric submersible pump without the plug locking into the wellbore casing or setting.
