ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. D1,132,377, issued on June 30, was assigned to SATO Corp. (Tokyo) and KYOCERA Corp. (Fushimi-Ku, Japan).

"Thermal print head" was invented by Kazuyuki Hoshi (Saitama, Japan) and Masataka Takeda (Kagoshima, Japan).
