US Patent Issued to SANFORD BURNHAM PREBYS MEDICAL DISCOVERY INSTITUTE on March 31 for "Role of PVT1 in the diagnosis and treatment of MYC-driven cancer" (California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,590,336, issued on March 31, was assigned to SANFORD BURNHAM PREBYS MEDICAL DISCOVERY INSTITUTE (La Jolla, Calif.).

"Role of PVT1 in the diagnosis and treatment of MYC-driven cancer" was invented by Anindya Bagchi (San Diego) and Ashutosh Tiwari (San Diego).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein are methods of diagnosing and treating MYC-driven cancers by detecting a PVT1 splice variant in a biological sample from a subject."
