ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,546,917, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co. Ltd. (Suwon-si, South Korea).
"Camera module" was invented by In Gun Kim (Suwon-si, South Korea) and Young Suk Kang (Suwon-si, South Korea).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A camera module includes: a lens module including a plurality of lenses; a housing accommodating the lens module; a reflective member disposed in front of the lens module; an image sensor module to receive light passing through the lens module; and a first light shielding plate disposed in the housing in a space between the lens module and the image sensor module."
