ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,672,310, issued on June 30, was assigned to Samsung Display Co. Ltd. (Yongin-Si, South Korea) and Korea University Research and Business Foundation (Seoul, South Korea).

"Transistor" was invented by Seungjun Lee (Suwon-si, South Korea), Sang Sig Kim (Seoul, South Korea), Jun Hyung Lim (Seoul, South Korea), Kyoung Ah Cho (Seoul, South Korea) and Hee Sung Kong (Seoul, South Korea).
